Pattaya and Patayan

From Patayya with love, GMA's Easter message to us: "Risk all for Truth!"

What audacious hypocrisy. What callousness.

Easter is supposed to be about Hope and Redemption. With statements like that from GMA in Patayya, Thailand, we only become more hopeless. GMA could have said something else like, 'I am now stepping down, forgive me...'

May we remind GMA, your rule is tainted with so much political killings but your administration’s police, military, legal, and forensic work have been very wanting. Even Ninoy Aquino’s assassination has yet to be fully resolved but then perhaps it’s best that those soldiers are already out. But then again, as for the other murderers and the rapists whose sentences your regime has cut short, well... are you, GMA, simply being more Christian than the Christ?

Moreover, may we also remind you how many times you have been called to risk all for the truth through the impeachment process. What have you and your minions done? Risk all for whose truth? For whom? For yours and for you?

We need two S’s it seems in this country. Science and Sincerity. A more “science-informed” system of governance and a more sincere set of national leaders.

Patayan ng patayan dito habang nasa Patayya ka. Sabado de Gloria yata talaga ang favourite day mo.

  1. I appreciate that she went there in Pattaya to ensure those Filipinos workers living abroad will have an ensured job security but instead of spending her time here in the Philippines where there is MORE to take care of, she decided to go to Pattaya to spend her vacation there. Our country needs governance, but how can we be governed if the one that must govern us is not around. And one more thing, her statement in Pattaya, sana hindi lang niya sinabi yun para tayo ang magreflect. Sana magreflect din siya doon sa sinabi niya na "In our lives as Christians, we too must prove our love for the truth in His life and His teachings." I hope that she also do what she says. Baka naman puro salita lang iyan.

  3. I would like to agree with what this is trying to point out. Her, going to Pattaya, it doesn't make any sense. It would be better if she dealt first with people who don't have jobs here in the Philippines and ensure them into having one, and yet there she is visiting those who work and live abroad. How many Filipinos are in abroad? But more importantly, how many people here in Philippines doesn't have a job?

I find our presidents actions quite meaningless. One good example was when Presidend George W. Bush came here in the Philippines. Yes, we Filipinos are hospitable, but when Bush came, come on! it was over done.

I came asking myself once, is the president really working? If we try to recall, Francis M. recently died, and there she is, able to come up with a commercial talking about what a good man Francis is. I was like, Hello, there are more problems than that and yet you still tend to give time for that? (well not that i don't really care about Francis M., it just has something to do with our president here)

I do hope she does something more meaningful with her time left in her position.

  5. Appreciate the fact that she went all the way to Thailand to ensure the safety and security of the Filipinos there. But going on vacation while the country is in need for you is a big NO NO! She is so concerned for showing other countries that she care that she lost track of why she bacame the president of the country.

  8. I really appreciate the "good intentions" she went to Thailand and all the risk all for truth. . "thing". Frankly, it is ridiculous. I mean she has been questioned several times about revealing the truth and all that but she is saying that from her own mouth. I mean no offense, it is funny. It is like when it was your turn to say something that is for the truth, you kept quiet but now as if everything has been erased and now it is for "The Truth". Well, before all that, I think you should do something about the people here in your country. People who are starving, people who are jobless, children who constantly go on drugs not to feel hunger, and most of all, street children who knock at the windows of the cars carrying another baby on a raining day! ( Personally, I would want to give them some pennies but after seeing them carrying another baby, USING them as a tool for earning pitiness, it really disgusts me.)

  9. I respect all the opinion written in this blog but with due respect I would just like to us, who do you think would be the president that will make this country progress? So far we have already tried many kinds of preasident. We have tried an economist, law makers, and artist still our country did not progress well of course its not just the leader who have many imperfections also its members. What am I pertaining to is the member has also faults. Lets admit it gloria have votes absolutely but whats lacking is the education of people. Whom to choose? they dont have such knowlege all we know is base on the popularity of a person. It's starts at school not pertaining to any school but have you noticed most of the class presidents wins because of popularity. It's a fact that's hard to removed. We have many good leaders in our country but they dont have the oppurtunity to be in positions because of many factors, political dynasty is one.

I would like to end this statement by saying that we all need to be educated and we must choose a more sincere and uncorrupt leader.

  10. Isn't there supposed to be a separation of church and state? So why is she going around, preaching to the people about something that I'm not even sure she possesses?
It's so hypocritical of her to say something like that when her own morals are questionable. I'm not calling her a liar, but she's not exactly an exemplar of truth and good moral conduct. So if she wants to say things like this, fine. It's a free country. But she should at least clear the issues that surround her. If she practices what she preaches, maybe then people would actually take things she says such as these seriously, instead of scoff at her pretentiousness.

  12. i think, she should be responsible for her country first, how can you elect a president whose first priority is not for the welfare of his/her country? she's a show-off to the other countries so they may support her. so mas importante ung ibang tao than us, her fellow countrymen?

about the truth, did she even know what truth is? it takes a lot of honesty to tell the truth and since she does not even know how to be honest, can we trust someone who keeps lying? i don't think so. anu kaya niyang gawin for all this? apologize, kill those people against her? panu nlng tayong mga kabataan? patuloy na lang bumababa ang philippines in all fields, presyo nlng tumataas. lahat naman ng tao running for president right now is kurakot eh. so panu na yun? who will we vote? i suggest let's give chances to others na may ibang idea. ung mga taong naghihirap para mabuhay pamilya nila kasi alam nila ung paghihirap. enough for those people who was born to be someone! and change the whole congress dahil lahat sila CORRUPT!

  13. Let me just say how much I enjoy reading your blogs because they are entertaining and informative. *grin*

Anywho, I scoffed on the part where she said she's been mourning over her lost aides during the crash... Hmm... I wonder if she saw X-Men The Last Stand where Magneto said "Let the pawns go first."

Eh... Nothing's changed with her. Never supported her before, and I never will. EXCEPT when she does decline her throne [because seriously, she's such a queen it's not even funny].

I wonder if Christ would even speak to her during judgement day...

  14. I have nothing against GMA traveling abroad as long as she brings something worthwhile here in the Philippines like jobs and projects. As long as it is for the betterment of our country. Also, i think that it is unnecessary to bring everyone staff along and every administration congressmen with her. Even though she claims that the expenses were all shouldered by the congressmen themselves. We have heard that excuse already. Or was that money from the government that you gave away to the congressmen which was even caught by the camera. caught in the act! hahaha.

We can not force someone who is already in power to step down. Not unless she has this CONSCIENCE that would say that she made bad things. Let us just pray that she sees the light and be vigilant with every move that she makes.

  15. I'm honestly not against Gloria. I don't see so much negatives in her compared to other corrupt officials. I'm not sure but I really see her as someone who is doing her best for the country to change. Or at least try. She's educated and I guess she knows what she's doing and knows as well the consequences of her actions. That's my opinion of course. I mean if we keep changing presidents, how could the present president finish the projects he/she wants to finish?! Isn't that dumb as well? We won't have any presidents who accomplish anything at all because all the people do is wine and complain.

  16. Everybody had been crititicizing Pres. Gloria macapagal arroyo. But I rather praise her for her tenacity in clinging to her post as president of the Philippines, She is the typical example of a complete politician who is willing to do anything just to perpetuate in power. These shows how she and her family will do everything to hold on to dear power and even sell the whole country just to be able to stay in power. And will go to the extent of violating human rights and sacrifice human life.

  17. I have heard from news that this year pres. GMA have already gone out of the country 15 times.Wow! Does she want to travel around the world? Is that one of her goal? And a lot of million pesos has been wasted because of her habit. Her spokesperson said that travelling of GMA has been bringing good effects in the Philippines. But what we're not sure is if this effects are worth enough from wasting too much money. Milions of pesos just for travelling? Too much. Maybe the pocket money is not yet counted there. :))

  18. GMA is not my dream leader but I think the President deserves a break once in a while. One day, I thought of how I could manage a day if I were the President. A day full of meetings, speeches, travels, media, rallies, opponents, and personal problems is a total heck! She’s been in control of the country since 2001. She’s had numerous tiring days. She really should be a strong woman because it’s not easy to lead a country like the Philippines. I don’t think anybody could just shift gears and improve the country in a term. It sounds hopeless. Sad but true. I hope Magsaysay would rise up from the dead and give this country some hope.

  20. GMA has been lying to the Filipinos for such a long time. Funny but whatever she says, they always have expiration dates. Today maybe yes, but is only until today. Tomorrow it will be no. It depends on her political strategy. If GMA is more Christian now, she might as well go to jail for the people she let out of jail.
